Guess it's still a work in progress. But it's coming out really nice. Love the atmosphere. Air-conditioning is very effective

I was surprised by the serenity of the Airport. I was wondering if its a local airport so I checked on Google map...where it is stated its an international airport. Its in very close proximity to the town. Its very clean and well maintained which is at par with an international airport. I'm told it has been completed since early 2012... its a beauty...especially the departure lounge

The waiting room is a bright and clean space with a cafe, restaurants, smoothie bar, toilets and a seating area. The waiting room can be only accessed if you have a boarding pass. It is also wheelchair accessible.

Cute and lovely airport. We had airpeace flight on the 6th of January. The airport was moderately busy with many families on their return after the Christmas celebrations. The air conditioners were working and the waiting area had a number of food outlets and provision vendors. The chairs are many and well-placed so children could run off some excess energy. The food at one of the vendors was OK and cost 1,800 for a pate of white rice, two pieces of beef and a mini coke. The change was handed over no questions or complaints. All in all a pleasant experience.

Excellent VIP lounge for the price and location (Nigeria). The general domestic departure waiting area is, while clean, not very well equipped with choices and comfortable areas, although still better than other airports I have used in Nigeria. But now the VIP lounge situated adjacent to the Protocol Lounge, was a pleasant surprise. The entry fee was N6500 at the time of this review (31/3/25) and well worth it. You can have one beverage and groundnuts included in the price. This can be a soft drink or alcoholic beverage. I took a large Star which is not even available in the main airport departure area. The main airport sells you a very small can of beer for 3k whilst and future beers in the lounge are charged at N2500 and are the large bottles. Comfort The sofas are beautifully comfy unlike my previous experience a few days earlier in Nnamdi Azikiwe (Abuja) where many of the chairs need throwing out as they are cracked, unstable and uncomfortable. The decor was warm and cosy with a pleasant ambiance. The bar was well stocked and attractive and the staff polite and attentive. Did not see any food available to buy but complimentary peanuts were enough for me. Only reason I gave 3 stars for food is because there was no food. Rating 15/10 for Nigeria.

Nice airport. Nicest VIP lounge of any local airport in Nigeria
